OK, ask us a question so we can add it to this Frequently Asked Questions page.

You can simply email your questions directly to:

1.  If I am not satisfied with the final photo restoration product, will my originals be returned?
Yes, of course, your original will be returned to you, whether you accept the work or not.  If you do not approve of the proof image that we show you at the completion of the work, we will simply mail your original back to you, and you don't have to pay anything at all, not even postage.

2.  Do you do corrections to the original photograph?
No, we do not do any work at all on the original photo.  The only thing we do is to scan it to the computer so that we can take the scanned copy and do whatever is necessary to restore or enhance it.

3.  I live in Miami but I am in your area often.  Can I just drop off my photos to your office?
Of course, you can.  Just email us at smiledogpro@gmail.com or give us a call at (561)278-7794 and we'll set up a time that's convenient for you and give you directions to our office in Boynton Beach.  And the directions are absolutely free!

4.  Some photo restoration sites I've visited will only provide an email'ed digital image of my restored photo.  Can you give me a print of my photo?
Absotively!  As a matter of fact, the vast majority of our clients request a print.  We will mail them to you, freight free, by USPS ground service, which takes from 1 to 5 days, anywhere in the U.S. or Canada.

Even if someone only wants a digital file of their photo, we still work on the WYSI-NA-WYG principle (What You See Is Not Always What You Get).  Often, when a photo is printed, minor defects show up which were not visible on the screen.  So, we always do a print of the retouched photo to check for and correct these defects.

5.  What do I get back from you?
Included in your payment is your choice of one of the following:
...a CD with the restored/enhanced photograph.
...a photo (or photos) printed on a sheet of Epson Premium Photo Paper.  You may choose from one of the following formats:
One 8x10
Two 5x7's
Two 4x6's
Two 31/2x5's
6.  Can I get a photo larger than 8x10?
Yes you can, yes you can, yes you can!  Anything up to 81/2x11 is included in your quote.  For a surcharge of $10, I can print anything up to 13x19.  And, for anything larger than that, I can have it done by the photographic center that I useand charge you just what they charge me.
How much I can enlarge the photo depends on several factors:  the resolution (pixels per inch) of the scanned photo, how much detail is in (or can be brought out of) the original and, finally, the distance from which the enlarged photo will be viewed.  We can discuss all of this at our initial consultation.

7.  I need some retouching done on a "boudoir" photo.  Will this be kept confidential?
Posilutely!  No one will see your photo except yourself and me.  And I have been neutered, frontal lobotomized and have sworn secrecy on a stack of Playboy magazines.

8.  Can a blurred photo be sharpened?
That's a tricky one.  All blurred  or out of focus photos can be sharpened to some extent - how much depends on various factors.  I would have to experiment with the photo to give you a more definitive answer.

9.  I have a 40-year-old wedding picture of my parents that I want to have restored and presented to them.  But I want it done in some special artistic way.  Can you do this?
Yes, I can.  There are thousands upon thousands of artistic variations that can be done.  If you have something in mind, please be as specific as possible in describing it and I'll let you know if it can be done.  If you don't have anything particular in mind, I'll whip up a few samples and send them to you, and you can pick the one that you like.

10.  I have a picture of me and my ex-husband.  Is it possible for you to decapitate him and replace his head with the head of my new boyfriend?
Sure - that's one of my favorites - I've done dozens of pictures of me and my ex-wives.  All I need is the picture of you and your ex, and a picture of your new boyfriend.  But keep in mind that the boyfriend's head should be at the same angle as that of your ex, and that the light source should be coming from the same direction.
